Consilium receives navigation orders worth approx. SEK 28 m
Consilium has received orders to deliver integrated navigation and information systems for six oil tankers (VLCC Very Large Crude Carriers) being built in China. The order value is approximately SEK 28 million.
VLCC is the second largest size classification ranging from 200,000 to 320,000 dwt, and with a length normally beyond 300 meters. The current vessels will be built at the largest shipyard in China, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, for shipping companies in the Middle East. Systems delivery is planned 2011-2012.
“This is our second Chinese navigation systems order this year and we are strengthening our position as a challenger in this, for Consilium, new market segment. It is also confirmation that we are focusing on the right things in our business development investments”, said Ove Hansson, Consilium’s President and CEO.
