Fire protection on trains is very complicated due to electrical environment, vibrations, variations in temperature and humidity which can interfere with the system's functionality. Same solutions as in marine systems

To develop an interference free system, without the otherwise common false alarms, Consilium has used solutions similar to the ones used onboard submarines and other extreme marine environments.

Addressable system

TS1000 consists of a central panel with an addressable loop. All detectors can be connected to the TS1000 detector interface loop, which enables supervision and control via two-core cable.

All detectors are addressable and individually programmable for sensitivity, time delay etc. The system is also prepared for automatic release of extinguishing systems.

Advanced algorithms and communication

TS1000 is addressable and built on Consilium well proven communication technique, which gives the system very high immunity against electrical interference. By using advanced algorithms the system also has several advantages with compensation for contamination and alarm evaluation. The TS1000 adapts to its environment and avoids unnecessary alarms.

Concealed installations

In addition to harsh environments with vibrations and humidity, contamination and vandalism may also lead to malfunction. Great efforts have therefore been put into enabling concealed installation, which has resulted in the design of two new smoke detectors of aspiration type.

Communication via serial link or Ethernet with TCP/IP

The central can be connected directly to the train computer, from which it is possible to indicate and control the fire alarm system.

The TS1000 is a flexible system which supports several different types of protocols, thus providing a custom made solution.

Thanks to the latest computer technology and the systems large communication capability, it is prepared for future communication technology such as Ethernet with TCP/IP.

Fast and easy service

The system is modular, which enables fast and easy service. Faults detected are visually and audibly indicated to the operator, who can take the necessary actions.

Controls

TS1000 has an integrated control and monitor function, which makes it possible for the system to control and supervise internal and external I/O-moduls. The system can handle all control and indication functions, such as ventilation and fans, normally performed by the train computer.
